Welcome back to our March Mentality: A D.O.S.E of Happiness Series. If you haven’t seen our post on the series yet, you go do so HERE. Today we are discussing dose 2 which is Oxytocin! Oxytocin is known as “the love hormone because it usually gives off positive emotions when you feel an attraction or sexual desire.
Known as a hormone and neurotransmitter, oxytocin is responsible for contractions during labor, for breast milk let-down, erections, orgasms, and positive feelings like trust and happiness.
In addition to these wonderful things, oxytocin helps lower anxiety, build trust, lower stress, affects the mood, and helps build connections. In order to increase your oxytocin levels, you can do the following below.
Overall, making meaningful relationships will help increase your oxytocin so if the diet list doesn’t work for you, then try some of the activities! See if any of the food or activities overlap with Dose 1.
Keep dosing!
